Capolavori dalla collezione Pérez Simón

dal 04/10/2007 al 27/01/2008

The Pérez Simón Collection is one of the most important private art collections in Latin America. The assembly of the collection was started in the early seventies of the last century and in recent years has brought together a large number of works of art. The masterpieces of the collection exhibited at the Fondazione Memmmo are just a sample of the wealth of the collection; The route starts from the fourteenth century with works of italian and European art and sculpture and works by Bronzino, Van Dyck, Brueghel; and it ends with the nineteenth century with the Mexican tradition paintings. This last part is divided into three sections: Academicism and Realism, Victorian painting, and Impressionism and Post-Impressionism. The exhibition ends with paintings by painters such as Pissarro, Monet, Gauguin and Van Gogh; with them it closes the nineteenth century, as well as the exhibition that the Foundation Memmo offers.
