Idea per un museo

dal 15/12/2005 al 10/02/2006

The exhibition was conceived as consisting of large thematic sections. Building an early twenty-first century museum involves a reflection on the place where the building will be erected on its architectural form and the links that unite the collections. These issues are represented in a first section of the exhibition. A second section will present the art collection of the Museum, constituted by the donation of Mrs. Jean-Louis Roux-Berger of the neo-Impressionist paintings collection, Fauvist or post-impressionist. The exposure route will continue with the presentation of contemporary collections of the New Museum; the main gallery of the Palazzo Ruspoli meet, according to a principle of artistic disciplines, some works of Korovine, Goncharova and Benois that recall the history of the Russian ballet. In the last room they are exposed light plots of Frey, a contemporary work commissioned in 2004 by the New Museum director Ange Leccia.
