I Borgia - L'arte del potere

dal 03/10/2002 al 23/02/2002

The Borgias were one of the most important families that influenced the historical and artistic panorama of Rome at the end of 400s. The power, the luxury favored the commission of new palaces, churches and monuments; the Borgias were among those powerful certainly not passive protagonists of extraordinary changes of an era and a world. In the exhibition, the Borgias are seen in the context of their times; the exposure is capable of reconciling, in an exhibition summary, the cultural universe, historical and religious era of the Borgias. Followed by a conductive line running from the main characters of the family: Alessandra, Cesare and Lucrezia, and also bring together different aspects of the era in which they lived and that these characters characterized significantly: the culture, the arts, politics and the economy.
